The Lahaina Gate House is a very special place featuring a four-bedroom single family home with large underground blue tile swimming pool, surrounded by a privacy wall, and electric gate with lush, tropical landscape on an 11,060 sq ft lot. With 5 beds, a futon and sofa sleeper, this 2,500 square foot home sleeps up to 10 guests; 8 adults and 2 children under age 2.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, across Front street from a beautiful sandy beach, where you can swim, snorkel, beach comb, relax on the shore or under a shade tree. Paddle board, body board or surf at world-class surf spots. See the amazing islands of Lanai, Molokai and Ko'olawe. You will feel like a local as you walk through the neighborhood where our friendly neighbors are happy to say "Aloha!”

A large, private, ocean-blue salt-water swimming pool is easy on the skin, and 14 feet at the deep end. Enjoy cooking on the outdoor Viking gas BBQ grill and rotisserie for cooking and enjoy your favorite meals on an Italian marble, wrought iron outdoor dining table seating for eight. As the night draws near this property takes on a whole new ambiance created by solar lighting. This child friendly home also has beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, coolers and sand toys.

It took us over 4 years, and tens of thousands of dollars to get our permit approved. We are most thankful to all our neighbors; everyone on Ilikahi Street signed a petition saying they want our home to be a vacation rental. Some wrote letters of support and came to testify at our hearings.

Rental Policy:
- All rates subject to 13.416% State Tax.
- 30% Advance Payment Required with Reservation.
- Full prepayment is due 90 days prior to arrival.
- There is a $550 plus tax exit cleaning fee added to all reservations.
- Extra maid service available at additional charge.
- Minimum 7 night stay required during regular season, unless your reservation fills a gap between two existing reservations.
- 10 Night minimum stay over Christmas, 14 night minimum stay required if the dates cover both Christmas and New Year.
- All rates and taxes are subject to change.
- Check in time is 3:00 p.m. Check out time is 11:00 a.m.

- A 1/2 day charge is required to guarantee a late check-out if it's available 3 days prior to checkout.

Our family spent Christmas in Maui. Everything was great. You've put a lot of thought into what a tenant may need. Kitchen was stocked very well. We cooked everynight and even cooked our Christmas Turkey dinner for 12. Every convience was available, DVD, Stereo, Television in almost every room and internet hookups. Even had a supply of toys for children and pool/beach toys for young and older. The air conditioner didn't function to well, but Susan had mentioned they were going to work on that. Also curtains/blinds would be nice for privacy and maybe a curtain to pull when the upstairs bath was in use since there is no door. This also was mentioned that the blinds were on order. All things considered, this was a fabulous house and our stay was the best ever.

You have a beautiful house and yard. We all had a great time in Maui. The house, yard and pool made it so convenient to have the whole family. Front Street, the beach and the boat harbor are all just a short walk so each of us could find the perfect activity whenever we wished. We had a fabulous time. The house is very well equipped and immaculately maintained. It handled our large family with ease. The conveniences of being able to do laundry on premises and being able to dine in or out at our pleasure were two of the best amenities. We also enjoyed the pool for the kids and the wireless internet service. Our only suggestion is to turn up the water heater so that it doesn't get exhausted so quickly by showers. Other than this minor item, out stay was perfect!

Absolute amazing trip April 18-25, 2005. Before the trip payment was easy, and communication by email made check-in procedures clear. The house itself was very clean when we arrived with an awesome pool and great yard. It is in a perfect location, walking distance to downtown Lahaina, although you still need a car. Only gripe is that the garbage was supposed to be picked up on Friday and the pool cleaner did bring out the bins on Thursday, but when we left on Monday they were still full. Definitely recommend this house along with the guest house. Our group of 10 people all agree that if our group returns to Maui we would consider re-renting.

Hi Susan! The house was great for my family and extended family. Here are some of the things we liked about the house: -Space is fantastic, lots of sitting areas and it was very comfortable -Laundry Machine- great help having it so conveniently located -amenities-in general this was great- would have been even better if we found that storage container on the side of the guest house before the last day! -vicinity to the downtown are was great -neighbours seemed very friendly -Parking was accommodating- we fit 3 cars with no problem at all -INTERNET WAS FANTASTIC-I managed to work and enjoy while in Maui which was fantastic -POOL- LOVED IT! We recommended your rental property to all of our friends who were on the island and I hope that they have a chance to experience it as well. Thanks for all your help Susan! -vivian

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We loved the house and the yard. It was perfect for our family. it was great to have the beach gear, i.e. cooler boogie boards, chairs, etc. The house was roomy and clean and open and light. The location was nice. You might want to consider blocking the upstairs bathroom off from the master so both upstairs bedrooms can use it with privacy. You were so easy to work with. Everything went very smoothly. We had a wonderful time and hope to return to this or another of your properties.

beautifil home, everything we were promised and more...floors are slippery and blinds are touchy, but other than that we could not have had a better home, unless we were willing to spend a lot, and I mean a LOT more money!

We enjoyed our stay with just a couple of suggestions. I would expect to have bar soap available, because this is a rental with a management group, I would expect the same service as I get as if I rent a condo, maid service for example at least once during our stay. We did have a great time even with the comments above.
